Yup. Sold out in Apple stores here in Southern California as well.

Luckily stopped by a Best Buy in West Hollywood today and they had a 128GB Space Gray left which I snapped up.

Other option would've been to order online and wait until next week (expedited shipping) or until 12/1.

It's pretty much sold out everywhere. It's like the iPhone 5s vs 5c all over again. There are plenty of 32GB models around.

Smaller supply

Just like the :apple:Watch. Throw out a small amount and see what sticks. I can understand to a point, controlling the supply chain, but it also indicates that Apple may have reservations about how well the product is going to sell. There was no indication of any issues in supplier's ability to provide components for any of the Pro products.

I honestly didn't expect this device to sell out so quickly.

I think after this first wave of stock it will be difficult until after Christmas.

Today I returned my Silver 32 and picked up a Silver 128 and it was the last in an Apple store in Vancouver.

I just checked the Apple site and shipping times on the 128 have slipped to a week.

I figured as much but I still didn't expect iPad Pro sales to be so strong as to sell out completely after two days. That's pretty insane honestly. iPad Air 2 didn't even sell out and it was a great update. I guess the pencil and the beautiful display sells it. Random stuff were asking me about my pro today when I was on the train.

I was at my store before it opened to do my personal pickup for my ipp. I was listening to the lady, there were a total of 6 on lauch day that weren't pre-ordered. In a store in the biggest mall in Long Island, NY it is safe to say it is like the iphone 6+ (without the scalpers). There wasn't much inventory. I'm glad I woke up and ordered it within the first 5 minutes.

lots and lots of tempting features in ipp. 4 speakers they sound luxurious, big display makes multitasking easier. I was running 2 videos and split screen and the performance was smooth no lag no stuttering. Its fun to use with smart keyboard. No wonder it sold out so fast. In NJ day one Apple employees bringing lot of ipp from back for customers. I saw people were trying ipp and then they make decision to buy it. i was there for about 30 minutes of store opening dont know what happened afterwards. I am feeling sleepy and also want to go restroom but i dont want to leave this device ;p

Let's wait and see how many Apple actually sold before being impressed. That is not a knock on the iPad Pro but rather Apple's ability to accurately gauge demand. It already screwed up the pencil and keyboard availability ensuring they were pretty munch unavailable. Keep this in mind about launch product sell outs -- the original Microsoft Band sold out on launch day too. So until there are hard numbers it's hard to tell anything from a "sell out." Too many factors as to why it sold out so quickly.

My guess is we'll never know as Apple won't release sales figures. So analysts will left to guessing based on changes in iPad revenue QOQ and an estimate ASP.

Well, Apple would release sales figures if they were something to crow about. Of course, they won't be just because the "Pro" is a niche product. When 1Q numbers come out in Jan it will be easy to tell if the "Pro" helped to revive iPad sales. I expect a tick up not a blockbuster leap. That is still positive given the iPad's recent slide. Any movement north is good.

I honestly think it wasn't smart on Apple part to have a 32GB iPad Pro to begin with. I understand they are trying to up sell customers on the 128GB, but If there were a 64GB iPad Pro... The topic headline would be iPad Pro Sold Out in [insert].

My point is... There's 32GB stock at my Best Buy & Apple Store from Wednesday... You would think they would have sold out of those as well. Having a 64GB model helps balance out the demand, too many people clamoring for the 128GB. Hopefully they learn their lesson the next go around.

No, I predict the new norm for Apple will be no sales figures other than iPhone except in SEC filings where required. We got no sales figures for the new MacBook and nothing for the new TV either. I don't think this has anything to do with Apple not having something to "crow" about but rather Apple executives finally getting smart and realizing there is little to no upside in releasing sales figures. All it does is create a big fat target that Apple has to surpass the next year or its "doomed". And if the numbers don't meet some arbitrary expectation then Apple is "doomed" too.

I'm happy with the supply.

Day 1 seemed to have ample availability. Especially for those who ordered in the morning for in-store pickup.

Way better than the watch launch in that regard. If only there weren't this accessory shortage.

Apple does release iPad sales numbers as a category, just not model by model. So we do have a pre-Pro benchmark.
