The strangest thing happened. I have been having issues trying to back up to the iCloud for the past day and tonight I put my 12pm on the MagSafe charger and initiated backing up to my iCloud and all of the sudden I got the message that my phone was overheating and needed to cool down before I could use it. The phone was blazing hot!
Anyone ever experienced this? Should I be worried ?

I've notice my 12pm been getting hot lately (on back, next to the cameras) since iOS 14.8 but yet to get the overheating popup.

Mine got warm anytime I got on this forum and after getting IOS 15 it hasn't happened.

Same here, whenever I was on this forum pre-iOS 15, it would heat up my 12P hotter and hotter like I’ve never seen before, also causing immense battery drain.

Wonder what caused it?

Don't know but I've had it happen on other websites too with other iphones.

Since updating to iOS 15 my 12 Pro Max is getting quite hot when surfing the net, watching YouTube , etc. did a restart but didn’t help. Using low power mode for now until there is a patch. Also my battery was draining like no tomorrow prior to me enabling low power mode.

Yup, I had/still have that problem on the website only. Prior to iOS 15 it was really hot to the point I had to shut off my phone to let it rest. Now after I’ve install iOS 15 it still get hot but not as much. I don’t know what is causing this.

my 12 PM was replaced about 2 months ago (accidental glass damage claim). At the time the battery health was 89 percent and it was getting extremely hot in very light use so I was glad to have it replaced.

the replacement device was great at first but now two month’s later it’s starting to get extremely hot as well. Sometimes in light/normal use, sometimes while charging.

I have had my phone get hot, but never so hot that it literally shut down to cool off.
