Click to expand... Hmmm, got mine the other day, and spent last night transfering photos, music etc from my ext. hd to the new mac wothout breaking a sweat. As long as you do not cover the vents with your sweatpants, it should be ok.

Hmmm, got mine the other day, and spent last night transfering photos, music etc from my ext. hd to the new mac wothout breaking a sweat. As long as you do not cover the vents with your sweatpants, it should be ok.

Click to expand... I've got the exact same model. Day-to-day tasks, it is very cool. Transferring files, using drop box, or other major task and it does get a bit warm. Not as bad as my previous dv6 which got uncomfortably hot.

H Hadron macrumors 6502 Nov 6, 2013 #10 Only been running mine for a few hours, nothing heavy duty, but it's certainly cooler than my 2010 15", even with the 15" running on the internal graphics.
