I don't know what all the fuss is about with Retina on these, just got my first MBA and its awesome. Very quick and the screen is fine!!!

Really snappy compared to my 2010 15" MBP and 2010 27" iMac.

Love it!!:D

Basic, 4gb ram and 128 ssd, in all honesty I think it's brill. Granted it's no powerhouse like a rMBP but it is doing the job I need it to and I'm a fairly heavy user.

Picked one up recently myself, although the 11" kind. It's my first Macbook. It has the lowest resolution for any apple product, but I don't see it bothering me at all, even next to the 12" rMB. I guess to each their own. Love it like my first born :D

I finally bit the bullet and got my base 2015 13" Air. I had wavered between that and the 13" MBP for weeks. I am more than pleased. Snappy little thing and the non-retina screen looks just fine. I've wanted one of these since the day they were first introduced back when. I'm happy!

Tikatika, awesome. I would have opted for the 13" as well, but ultimately decided on the 11". Smaller is best for me as I travel quite often. Granted the 13" has the better battery life and faster SSD, i'm quite happy with my purchase.

No worries, I'm sure the difference in SSD speed is barely noticeable to 99% of users.

I have to agree with you on the 2015 13". I've had mine only a few weeks, spent weeks looking at screens side by side in the store between the 2015 MBA and the retina's. With my old eyes I decided that it wasn't going to make that much difference. My 2010 iMac and 2nd monitor have great screens. I went basic like you did based on what I do with a computer ... the difference in speed between the 2015 MBA and my 2010 iMac is huge ... as expected.

This is exactly the same MBA I purchased a month ago. It's lightning fast and gets the job done. I love it!
