Other than getting the keyboard replaced 500 times, is there a way to solve the Butterfly double spacing issue?

Some people turn off key repeating in keyboard settings, which works for some mechanical issues.

Can you not just get the keyboard replaced if its faulty, which should fix the issue?

Essentially, no. When the keys start acting up, the damage is done. Steps you can take:

- Install the Unshaky app if you need a quick software fix while you wait to replace the keyboard
- Replace the keyboard for free while you can (you should get the improved 2019 keyboard)
- Eventually, in the future, move to a laptop without butterfly keys

Probably not. Granted I had the original Butterly (2016 MBP) keyboard, I encountered accidental double-presses repeatedly, and some other nuisances that I initially attributed to lack of any muscle memory with the keyboard. Later, I realised that this is more of an erroneous design than a fault in my typing.

Using apps may help, you can try out Unshaky, though I am not sure you will be completely happy with the results.
