I own a iPhone 8 Plus updated to 13.4 and I had the battery replaced after updating the system and upon checking the battery get's stuck at 80% even if the Optimized Battery Charging setting is off. I don't care about the battery health if it decreases. I just wanted to know if the battery problem is due to updating the system or due to changing the Battery, thank you so much guys in advance, BTW I am new here.

Where did you have the battery replaced? A genuine Apple battery replacement should charge to 100%. My 8 charges to 100% and I have the Optimized Battery Charging set to on.

I'm the only one who replaced it, Optimized Battery Charging is off and it's still stuck at 80% the battery I replaced it with is not genuine, it's a YooBao battery for iPhone 8+ I ordered online because of the good reviews. The only problem is why is it getting stuck at 80%, is it because of the Battery or the 13.4 update.

It's okay that you replaced it... however, it could be that the battery you purchased is not up to par with a genuine Apple battery which might be why it won't charge to 100%. I don't think it's because of the 13.4 update. I'm running 13.4 and my battery charges to 100% even with the Optimized Battery Charging on.

I think I read something where it won't fully charge if it's an after market battery. Not sure why but I think it's a safety issue.

Hmm, where could you have seen this? It shows battery health though even if it a after market puchase.

But upon checking the battery before I replaced it I don't know if it's a genuine battery or not. I don't know how to identify one. Even it's a aftermarket battery, it shows battery health.

The only way you're going to get a genuine Apple battery is to have an Apple genius tech or an authorized Apple repair service do the replacing.

The problem with most after market batteries is that they do not perform as well as the batteries that Apple uses. They may be less costly but unfortunately you may not get quality.

Here is some info on features locked when aftermarket batteries are installed: https://9to5mac.com/2019/08/07/iphone-battery-service-message/

I don't think his phone falls in that category: Here is what it says:

According to iFixit, this new software lock is in both iOS 12 and the iOS 13 and affects the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max.

He has an iPhone 8+.

I don’t know man, maybe the battery is just faulty. Some users say it’s perfectly fine. No problem or bugs. I can’t revert back to 13.3.1. All I did to get my phone fully charged is changing back the old battery again.

Try drying up the battery completely first then charging it up uninterrupted.

Can anyone help me? Is this battery or software issues?

I don't believe it's a software issue. The battery you have is very likely not up to par just like many other after market batteries. I understand wanting to save money, but sometimes by saving money, you wind up not getting quality.

I changed to the old battery the first battery that I got this phone with, and now it’s stuck again at 80%. I believe this is a software issue.

I now updated to 13.4.1 i’ll check if this due to 13.4 update.

Guys, I just checked it with 3u. The battery that I replaced in my iPhone 8+ is faulty. It indicates that it's charging but it's not so technically the battery is faulty. I've reverted back again to my old battery and I just checked the charging indicator it is in charging state.
