R ras119 macrumors newbie Original poster Oct 4, 2011 19 0 Nov 1, 2011 #1 I just noticed today when I plugged in my iPhone to sync it, it told me that the capacity of my phone was only 13.60 GB instead of 16 . I am just wondering why 2.4 GB is already taken up. Sorry if this has already been asked.

This is the case in every device FYI. When you buy a 500GB HDD, its never exactly 500 (unless its more like 530GB which is being advertised as 500).
