if anyone cares, uploading my SC2 video now as well as a 10man WoW raid run in BH... happy with the results.. will link in the morning since it'll be a few hours to upload thanks to pathetic DSL.

How did you manage 7498 while other sites scored around 6900?!

I mean sure you replaced the HDD with SSD but Geekbench doesn't doesn't take it into account for the fin score..

Naw the score of my Windows is from the 5400RPM drive as that's what my bootcamp is on (caddy) and only OSX + mac apps are on the SSD. My SSD would score a 7.8 or 7.9 to be honest..

anyway, above, I would certainly trade in the MBA for the MBP. These sandy bridges are just straight NUTS.

I just recorded an SC2 video and am editing it now in imovie. Did I mention this new CPU really makes me feel good about editing flicks due to the speed of the i7 to import/render/encode the videos? All in all a great upgrade.

Huh. Curious that your 5400rpm drive would best my 7200 RPM drive. That, and I got 5.9 for drive access with my current Samsung 7200rpm drive as well as a Seagate Momentus 7200rpm drive.

Neat idea to ditch the optical drive and add a secondary internal drive.

Is there a carrier that allows the former internal optical to became an external USB drive?

Cheers.

Mine ran 7524 on Geekbench - see post 26. This is on a totally standard I7.

Yup you can get a carrier to place the optical in to use as external.

I got that score via 64bit geekbench. I realized that there was a difference in 32bit and ran that and got like 6900 ish.

The dude responded to me on YouTube and said that he managed this score on a 64bit test.

Though the official scores are in 32bit for all computers so we shouldn't take into account the 64bit score..I think..

Correct me if I'm wrong :)
