13 Inch Ethernet Speed

Has anyone tested the Ethernet speed on the 13 inch macbook pro? Preferably the 2012 model? Also anyone tested it with a thunderbolt drive transferring large files over Ethernet?

Thunderbolt drive? Over Ethernet? I've no idea.

As for speed, it's 1 gigabit Ethernet, same as any other Mac.
By comparison, thunderbolt is 10 gigabit.

Thank you for your post. I understand that the ethernet port is gigabit, however I know different gigabit adapters perform differently so I wanted to see if anyone has done any real tests on file transfers.
