13 inch tick noise when moving

    is it normal to hear a slight tick noise when i move the mbp quickly, from what i assume is the hdd

    It's the sudden motion sensor, it parks the head of the HDD when it detects movement so that nothing gets damaged. :)

    awsome thanks for the reassurement im always very anal about any 1000 dollar piece of equipment i buy ;)

    I just tried to see if I could hear it on my macbook and instead I heard my wrist pop.

    Yeah, I get that noise.


    It's when you put pressure on the right hand side of the wrist rest.

    Any one from hundreds of threads already in existence could have told you this.
