Recently bought a 13" with no retina and no optical drive,
I was wondering, is there a 13" Mac Pro with no retina and no optical drive?

"Mac Pro"? Do you mean MacBook Pro?
If no retina and no optical are you sure it's really an Apple Mac and not a cheap chinese knockoff?

No, I got a macbook pro.
I wanted one of the lighter pros with the retinal scanner. They were lighter without the optical drive in them. I was trying to search for a macbook with no optical drive and no retinal scanner, since the scanner adds on $400-500 more, but I ended up just getting the heavier macbook pro.

Maybe I should have gotten the air, but it's a little too thin I think.

It's not a retina SCANNER. It's a better DISPLAY.

And all non-retina MACBOOK PRO's have an optical drive.
