13" macbook pro battery?

I was wondering if its ok to charge the Macbook pro if it still has like 40% remaining? I want to go ahead and charge it up but is it bad for the battery if I don't wait till the battery is almost dead? Or are the new batteries supposed to just be charged even if they're not dead?

some say you want to let the battery fully drain for the first three to five charge cycles. this of course is only a theory.

Its best to not let your notebook battery drain completely, except every 30 cycles to re-calibrate the meter.
