I have read several threads here that the 13" Macbook Pro(No touch bar) version is the best value for the money in this new Macbook Pro line-up. However, I don't quite understand why is that so. I would appreciate if someone can enlighten me.
Config 1 (No Touch Bar):
CPU: 2.0GHz
SSD: 512GB
RAM: 16GB
Config 2 (With Touch Bar):
CPU: 2.9GHz
SSD: 512GB
RAM: 16GB
In my store, the price difference is around USD220 and in return I will get the following which seems to be a pretty good deal.
- 2.0 -> 2.9
- 2 ports -> 4 ports
- Touch Bar with Touch ID
It seems like we are getting a bigger saving if we are only comparing the base model without increasing the SSD to 512 GB. Am I right?
