I was worried about that. The closest Apple store is 1.5hr away so I'll probably hold off on testing it until I know when I'll be venturing down in that direction. I played some more TF2 and everything was fine.

Well the nearest Apple store is 2 hours away, and as much as I'd love the peace of mind, I would hate to drive for 2 hours there and back if there a. isn't a problem, or b. I didn't make an appointment or something else that's needed

Make sure you get the info out to us correctly here. You said in an earlier post it was 1.5 hours to drive to Apple. I'm not trying to nitpick you but I'm just trying to understand the point of not taking it in for them to look at it? Obviously it bothers you which is why you are here. People here can only give you advice based on what you tell us, Apple can see it first hand and take care of it unless you're not able to reproduce the problem consistently.
Within the 2 weeks that you've been responding back and forth on this thread Apple could've fixed your issue in one trip and probably had it back to you in less than a week. If you have to leave it with them they can send it to you once they fix it.

woops  traffic vs. no traffic.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. the driving time plus the fact that I've had this happen twice, and since have been unable to reproduce it due to 10.6.4's wonderful compatibility with Steam games has made me drag my feet about this. I'll probably go sometime this weekend/week just for the peace of mind.

edit: made an appt with the Genius Bar for Monday, I'll update with how it goes

They replaced my logic board and I haven't run into any problems since :D

that was seriously the most painless warranty transaction I've ever done. Just brought it in and it showed up on my doorstep completely fixed 3 days later
