13" MBP is it powerful enough?

I currently use a 2011 Mac mini with 2.3ghz i5 as my main computer.

I want a laptop for portability so was thinking on a used 2011 13" MBP with 2.3ghz i5.

Just wanted to know if the performance would be the same as my mac mini and also would it be capable of streaming HD movies from youtube, netflix etc ?

I dont need retina screen as most of the time it would be connected to my 27" monitor.


I plan to use my mac mini a media server connected to the TV.

Yes, you could stream media on a 10 year old computer. A 2011 MBP will do much more than that. No worries.

I have an early 2011 13" and it is well more than powerful enough to do those tasks.
