I dug through a few threads briefly about which connected/cable I should get to hook my new MBP 13" to my TV. But, it seemed like there were a lot of mixed opinions, and a host of possibilities.

I'm also wondering if audio and video will work for the 13". When speaking with an Apple CSR, they said that only video would work. Can anyone confirm this?

I'd like to get this figured out, as I'll be using this for some presentations in rooms that have HDTV's, and I'd like to get my Hulu on.

Thanks!

The MDP ONLY puts out both signals if you have the 320m. The nVidia GeForce 9400m does not support audio through the MDP.

Go to the System Profiler to check your graphics card model.

I'm specifically asking about the newly updated 13" MBP. All the references I've seen are for the 15 and 17".

Does the 13 also offer audio and video support through the mDP?

Just bought a good one.

From amazon: Kanex iAdapt 20 MDP to HDMI with 2 channel Audio (through usb port). 50 bucks, with many user options for user interfacing. Worth checking out.

He's talking about the 13" model. so the only options would be the old 9400m or the new 320m.

Yes, I did mean 320m.

Basically, if you have the 9400m, it's not going to put out sound.
