13" MBP without matte screen option, official statement?

i wonder if there has ever been an official statement why the smallest MBP isn't available with a matte screen option?

Because Apple wants you to pay more to get 15" with matte. It's easy profit, just like 17" used to be only one with matte option. If you want it, you pay more, that's how the money is made
