iPhone 13 mini 13 Mini Battery vs 12 Mini

Anyone made this minor upgrade and have early comments on battery difference(s) yet?

I’m not getting a full day out of 12 Mini and already at 89% after the first year. Thinking of buying a Note 9 for about $175 to trade in and get the 13 mini for the bill credits.

Still early to say, but so far I’m noticing a significant improvement. With my 12 mini I would usually get to the end of the day with about 20-30% left, depending on use that day. Currently at the end of today I am at 62% with my 13 mini. Hard to draw a lot of conclusions still but definitely there is an improvement.

Very helpful, thanks! Can you say what your battery health got to on your 12 mini?
 
Battery health was at 94% on my 12 mini when I sold it. I'm getting about 15% WORSE battery life on the 13 mini so far. Been over a week and photos are all indexed etc so I don't know what's causing it. Will wait it a while and see if it normalizes somewhere north of my former results.

Family member took my 12 mini, and I traded a noted 8 for 13 mini (AT&T bill credits). My usage is normally less over the weekend but the first few days have been better for me on this one versus 12. Will try to report back in the bigger thread after a month or so.

12 mini to 13 mini here, solid upgrade in terms of battery life, much improved for me. Easily getting through a normal day with moderate use and heavier usage in the evening.

Had my 13 mini for a week now and its a considerable improvement in battery life. I'd say I'm getting an extra 20% or so beyond the 12 mini.

If the 12 mini's battery is fine for you then there's no other reason to upgrade. It performs the same to me in all other areas.

Same. Loses about 15% between midnight and 8am. My 12 mini, if charged to 100%, would still be at 100% after 8 hours (obviously draining to some degree, but that 100% figure is bogus and stays there for a while before starting to drop). Maybe it's iOS 15.x? But I'd already upgraded the 12 and it wasn't draining any faster.

I find my 12 mini to be losing 3-4% in around 6-7 hours.

Do you have an Apple Watch? If so unpair it and then test.
 
Yeah, IDK wtf I did or if I'm thinking too much but damn, my bat life went to complete sht. Barely cracking 4 hours SOT. I reset the phone and adjust the settings accordingly. I only use 3-4 really battery-intensive apps but not at the same time or for more than a significant period of time. I'm on vacation so will schedule an appointment at the Apple store when I get back.

Could this be attributed to faster 5G connected on the 13 mini vs the 12 mini? Curious if you turn off 5G and stick with LTE if that makes a difference in both standby and usage battery performance?!

13 mini on second full charge, 95% battery used. Mainly on WiFi.
 
my 13 mini battery last 2 days when screen-on-time is ~3h/d. One day I used my phone more than usually and SOT was 6h and battery level at 30%.
