Hello,

Was wondering if anyone has moved from the 13 mini to the 14 Pro.

- Are you happy you moved to a bigger phone?
- Or do you regret it?
- Did you get used to the weight of the 14 Pro?

As an average size woman - sometimes I find the Pro series are very heavy with the stainless steel. I do wish I had features like the dynamic island and always on display though. I've gotten used to the size of the 13 mini - but at times I wish I had a bigger screen.

I live in the UK where they price of the 14 Pro has gone up quite a bit but have some family/friends travelling from the US and Canada soon so wanted to know if I should take advantage of the price difference or if I should just skip it.

Any thoughts welcome - thanks!

I absolutely LOVED my mini but I just couldn't put up with the battery any longer. 16.2 has been terrible for my battery performance. I will say, I really miss my mini when I'm exercising on my bicycle, and keeping the phone in my shirt pocket makes my shirt collar sag. Other than that, I'm enjoying the switch back to a larger phone. The 120hz screen is awesome. I'm not a huge camera user and I find the bump obnoxious looking, but the camera is also a huge upgrade from the 13 series and it's nice to have a telephoto lens again.

I actually had tried out the 14 Pro before and returned it within a few days. The size and weight will be a shock at first but I think you'll get used to it within a week or so. Eventually, you get used to the hand gymnastics/shuffling it takes to reach every part of the screen. Now, I don't even realize I'm doing it.

Do you regret it?
As much as it pains me to say this, not really. The future of the iPhone mini doesn't look too good, so I figured I might as well rip the band-aid off now. I do love the bigger screen and no longer worry about battery life.

I own and use a 14PM and a 13 Mini daily. If I had to choose to use just one of the two it would be, hands down, without a doubt the 13 Mini.

I used a 12PM then a 13PM and along the way I realized I was weary of the size and weight. My Bride was sporting the 12 Mini then the 13 Mini which I was envy of the ease of use. Learned that I could use T-Mobile DIGITS and have 2 phones with one # I picked up a 13 Mini and thoroughly enjoy it. The 14PM gets shut off and sits on the dresser on the weekends.

Edit: To be fair my Bride now sports a Non-Pro 14 and enjoys the larger sized screen with "enhanced" font size because, well, she refuses to wear her reading glasses and upgraded for 0 dollars ... YMMV

I did it. 13 mini to 14 pro. I must say it’s nice. Very good upgrade. Battery life, smooth screen, new UI, and gorgeous black body. I do miss the mini many times and I plan to buy one again. But for now it’s a great phone.

I’m glad I found this thread. I have the 13 mini, it’s my fav phone of all time, but the 14 Pro is tempting when it comes to battery life and camera. But the size and weight of this phone is perfect.

I had the 12 mini, the 13 is massively improved. I just need to exercise some self control and hold on until the 15 comes out I think.

I'm leaning towards your stance right now! the size of the 13 mini is perfect. I know the 14 pro will be a heavier phone - that is obvious. But are the features worth the weight? At this point, I honestly don't think so - but I do think it will be by the 15 and will just get that! (...if I can practice the self control!)

What I hope, with some doubt in my mind is that they find a way to lightweight the 15 a bit, and reduce the bezel width. The Mini is just the absolute perfect form factor. I picked up a 14 Pro and put it against my phone, and its not a massive difference (camera bum is nuts), but its so heavy. I just wish I got the 256gb Mini as I run into space issues from time to time.

12 mini to 14 pro. not a single regret. the screen, battery, and camera improvements were enough to push me over the edge. I am surprised but I dont miss the mini.

I went from 13 mini last year, to 13 and then 14 pro. Love my 14 pro. I do want a mini for a backup phone eventually though, but the 14 pro is perfect.
