The best thing to do is go to an apple store. A picture may not be as helpful as you think.

I'm a switcher (windows to mac), I started using a Macbook at work and enjoyed it so much over windows (vista) I bought a Macbook Pro. I gave the Macbook back and now use my personal MBP for both work and play.

I have a MacBook and a 15" MBP. They both get used equally. Of course the 13" will have less screen but I use my Mighty Mouse with it. The side scrolling on the mouse helps make the less space easier to handle.

Here are mine as promised. I never put them next to each other! You really notice the benefit of the LCD on the MacBook Pro! It is WAY brighter than the MacBook with both at full brightness!! Both displays have been calibrated, both have nice colors, but the LCD on the MBP is noticeably superior and larger. You do notice the screen size. There is also a noticeable difference in resolution. With the MBP and the MB side by side on the same page, there is way more viewable on the MBP.

If you're only 14 and only listen to music and browse the web, go with the cheaper model, no need to make your parents pay for power you don't need.

Guaranteed Apple quality.

Before we put a pre-owned Mac, iPod, iPhone, or Apple TV up for sale in Special Deals, it undergoes a rigorous refurbishment process to make sure it's up to Apple's tough quality standards. We back it with our standard one-year limited warranty. And you have the option of purchasing an AppleCare Protection Plan for it.

These are previous generation models.

Good luck
