Just picked up my 13PM, restored Apple Watch series 6, but when I try to enable Unlock with Apple Watch with face mask on, it won’t let me, saying Unable to communicate with iPhone. Which is wrong, it works just fine. Tried updating to beta on iPhone and Apple Watch with no luck. Unpaired and repaired multiple times as new and using back up. Any ideas?

Its been widely reported apparently affecting all or most of the 13s. Just wait it out and relax.

Yeah, I have the same problem with non max iPhone 13 Pro. It would be good to hear from anyone bothered enough if an unpair/re-pair cycle fixes it.

Yes, a fix definitely exists. It involves backing up your iPhone 13, factory resetting it, setting it up as new, then restoring from backup. There are detailed instructions on the exact procedure in the thread linked earlier. Personally, I can't be bothered with it and will just wait for an update.
