Hi,

Do you have a problem on your 13 pro max with pwm? I think it's pwm problem because i see how my screen is flickering, i compare with my previous phone (12 pro max) and here this problem occurs too, but less. In messenger app i see how words goes blur and flickering. It's drive me crazy. Do you have this problem too, or my phone is invalid?

Unless you have sensitive eyes, I never noticed any PWM since owning the iPhone X, XS Max, 11 PM, 12 PM and now 13 PM. Not everyone is affected by this PWM but there is some %age that is. Glad I'm not one of them :)

In a dark room, open the notes app to a blank white page.
Set the brightness slider in Control Center to minimum brightness.

Then with a firm grasp on your phone (so you don’t drop it) quickly swing it while facing you so you can perceive the screen in your peripheral vision. Don’t look directly at the phone.

You’ll see a strobe light swing (your OLED iPhone) as it’s moving.

Then try the same experiment with an older LCD iPhone- and voila! No strobe light.

OLED PWM flickering is very easy to see if you know what to look for.

Ok, i try it and i see flickering, but tell me. Is it visible in normal use? When brigtness has 50-60%. I see it in normal use too

Just moving your eyes while looking at the screen normally can reveal the flickering because it’s essentially doing the same thing as moving the phone.
Some people can’t detect it (slow perception?) while others get nailed by it.
If you think your phone is flickering excessively, try out a similar demo phone at a store and see if it does the same thing.

I have 12 pro and 12 pro max. 12 pro and pro max flickering too, but i have a feeling, that 12 pro max it does less than 13 pro max and 12 pro but maybe my brain make me joke..
