I went to MicroCenter today and snagged a 13 inch model, the price was great for the configuration and it is replacing a 2011 MacBook Air. The difference is amazing.

I'm coming from a 2011 Air as well

How much did you pay and what configuration if you don't mind my asking?

I am currently trying to make a final purchase decision between 2014 and 2015 model.
Apart from the day-to-day use (social media, YT, office) I will be using the macbook for amateur video editing of shots taken with gopro (1080p) during my vacations and weekends on bike, skis and so on. My question is whether there is a signicant difference between Intel Iris 6100 and Intel Iris 5100 that would justify the additional cost of ca $250 (new track pad is not really that important for me).
Would be grateful for your support in this matter.

Best regards, muflonik

I picked up a mid 14 13" pro a few weeks ago for $800 used. It was perfect. It lasted a week and set itself on fire for some reason. Sparked when I plugged in the magsafe, then gave up the ghost from the vents at the base of the screen. I had it taken in by my wife, and apple swapped it out on the spot for a brand new 2015 rmbp. Talk about a lucky situation. Good thing the 14 was still under the standard 1 year warranty. And this new 15 is a huge upgrade. The trackpad alone is worth the price of admission. Apple customer service for the WIN.

The old trackpad was touch sensitive. Or are you referring to the haptic feedback. Something that is on my works phone (Android) and I hate.

I meant and should've said pressure sensitive. My fault.

Is this still available? Can't find any mention of this price on bestbuy or slickdeals

The $1199 price is no longer available, it was only a 4 hour sale from one of their daily deals. For the coupons however, you'd need to go into a Best Buy store for it to work though. Only in store can both coupons be used for the same transaction (both need to be scanned). If you try the online codes for the coupons even though both can be added, one will zero out.
