13" Retina with 1680x1050 anyone?

Anyone running 13" Retina 1680x1050? i usually use 1440 x 900 but when i switched it to 1680x1050 the fan turned on more frequently. Why is that? btw i have late 2013 retina macbook pro i5 2.4ghz with 4gb ram.

I've run my 13" rMBP at 1680x1050 since I bought it and I rarely notice the fan turning on. Either way, rendering a higher resolution is going to take more processing power which creates more heat.
