    Hi,

I just (5 minutes ago) ordered the new 13" MBA. I got the 256 GB hard drive and upgraded the ram but didn't upgrade the processor. Is there any disadvantage to do this. I.E is it possible that the processor will bottleneck and not allow me to make full use of the 4gigs of ram.
I'll be using this for college and don't do anything that will strain the computer in terms of performance. I was just thinking, if I spent over 1200 pounds on the computer, what's 70 more on the processor.
Should I and can I change it?

No you will be fine with the 1.86. For years the main bottleneck has been HDD but with flash storage this will be fine. It's totally up to you whether you think 70 quid is worth it for a few more number on the CPU. You can call and change your order until it has been built.

Given that the CPU upgrade is only 270Mhz faster then then the stock CPU, I'd say you'll not notice a huge difference now or later. With that said, if you have the ability to change your order, I think its well worth the 100 bucks
