When streaming on YouTube and other video sites I occasionally notice white/overexposed areas of the video have a "clipping effect".

It is similar to when you turn on the exposure highlight feature in DSLRs. Here is a link with example photos, except instead of the red highlights the clipping areas are a have a purplish tinge to them: https://teachingphotography.wordpre...dslr-feature-highlight-over-exposure-warning/

I'm wondering if this is due to the MacBook Pro's wide gamut screen? The clipping is happens a consistent time in the video (i.e. when I go back to the same timestamp, the clipping occurs).
