13" ultimate taking a while to shut down

When I got it it shut down in a couple of seconds - now it seems to take 30-60 seconds.

Any thoughts why?

could be if it is installing new software, it could also just be because the hard drive has more stuff on it, they tend to slow down some

Could be an app hanging. Launch Activity Monitor and change "My Processes" at the top to "All Processes", then check to see what app might be not responding.
