Is it possible to purchase a replacement bottom cover for a 13" unibody MBP?
Not sound to sound short but your answer to your question could have easily come via search. Just google what you want and buy it.
Expensive, but here you go: http://www.ifixit.com/MacBook-Parts/MacBook-Pro-13-Inch-Unibody-Lower-Case/IF163-002
thank you sir... you are correct.
thanks for the link...much appreciated
Don't forget to make note of your serial number, which is on the bottom case cover.
Thanks for the link fehhkk. It's always good to know things like that.
wow..this is why u post here...google will not tell me that and I might have missed it
Can someone please verify this. Isn't the serial number also printed on the RAM slot? I'm curious to know because of another thread. Some say it's not there but pictures of other 13" MacBook Pro's have it or it might not be the serial number but instead another number of something else.
MacBook Pro: How to find the Serial Number:
I know of that article but perhaps Apple doesn't want the user to remove the back plate just to find the serial number.
I can't really see it, but it looks like the serial number on the RAM slot (wxx...)
$150 is pretty steep for a sheet of aluminum. I was thinking I might get one after seeing this thread because mine is *slightly* not flat. I think I will deal with it at that price.
I wish there was an option to get a plate with some extra depth and an extra battery. That would be great!
