Do you prefer the 13" or 16" MacBook Pro? Is the extra screen size worthwhile for personal use?

If I bought the 13", I would likely buy the higher-end processor model in either the latest Intel or new chip line. I have a well-functioning, mid-2012, 13" MacBook Pro with a SSD.

It is a personal choice and depends on what you do. I own both and am using the 13" more than the 16". This because most of my heavier work is on a desktop machine with a 64 GB of memory, 4 TB of disk, and Nvdia RTX 2070 graphics. So the portable systems are only for on the go. And when it comes to portability the 13" wins every time.

Based on your signature, your 2009 MacMini still holds up as the more efficient machine compared to newer laptops?

For me the 16" is perfect. Not too big like the 17" was but it feels more like a compact version of it. I can do alot on this screen size than hunched down squinting on the 13".

The Mac Mini is now in a box and used as a display. Just like my 1984 512K Fat Mac. Both are cool to look at, but slow compared to the 13" and 16". And those MacBook Pros are way slower than the desktop system.
