I upgraded both my phones from 4.3.3 to 5.0.1 and setup iCloud turning find my iphone on for both phones. On 4.3.3 I had my IP4 set up to use this and it worked perfectly. Now it doesn't work at all, when i log into https://www.icloud.com/#find it shows up both phones but just both phones appear always offline.

Am I missing something here? Is it working for everybody else?

I've ensured I'm logged into iCloud via the phones. On iClouds website it has synced everything else. I can see the 3 icons of sending messages/tones/remote lock/remote wipe but when I try and send a message to the phone it sits on 1 action pending because it can't see the phone.

On AT&T.

Jailbroke with untethered jb redsn0w 0.9.10b3 for Windows.

Iphone 3GS: f/w=5.0.1 bb=05.16.05
Iphone 4: f/w-5.0.1 bb=4.11.08

I've referenced this apple help link but didn't find anything helpful in it: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2734

Also saw this here on the forums doing some searching: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1255245/ (he has a lengthy solution I may try if there isn't a simple solution I'm missing...he uses ipusher to test the initial part and I tried it and push notifications are working just fine)

Looks like it doesn't apply to everyone who jailbreaks.

I have an iPhone 4 that was on 4.3.3, upgraded, jailbroke with 0.9.10b3 (Mac), and mine works.

Sorry I don't have any ideas for you.

4.11.08 is a big problem me thinks...

It's my understanding that is the latest BB for Iphone 4 on gsm? Since its happening only to me, I'm assuming I'm setting something up incorrectly.

Tried out the app find my friends, says location not available when I try to view either phone via the app.

found this link but didn't help me: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3436096?start=0&tstart=0

Basically says to change you dns on your wifi to 8.8.8.8

Didn't help me but figured I would post it up until I find a working solution.

I ended up having to restore the IP4. Everything worked fine with my iphone phone after I restored and rejailbroke. :)

For the 3GS I was forgetting to go into to select the firmware under extras AND correctly identify it as an old 3GS. I also found that xBackup restore was causing it not to work to so I just started fresh and added everything manually.

It deals with your activation/hacktivation. I've got a link saved on my computer at home on how to fix it. The site was something like iphonejailbreak.me. I just searched for fix iMessage on hacktivated phone. Worked for me at least.
