Thanks:)

The best headphones for $70 is Apple headphones that came with the iPhone and $70 in my pocket.

They are definitely not the best but they are serviceable for regular people who use their iPhone to listen casually.

I listen to them at school in class all day and sometimes at home, I just want something a bit better than the apple one.

jee, you're struggling if you think apple earphones are the best for $70

What? No .. You didnt get him. He said that it's best to keep using original iPhone headset and save your $70 on your wallet for anything else. Which I tend to agree. I only need headphone for casual music listening and phone calls on the go. So i decide to use standard headphone. For more enjoyable listening I dock my iPhone to hifi stereo amp in my room. It charges the iPhone too.

It's your money anyway ... So, if you really dig into third party headphone, give Marshall minor a try, great headphone for $60 something.

Check out the Klipsch Image s4's. They are great headphones for around your price. Ive been using them for almost 3 years now. Amazing earbuds imo

thanks, I've heard lots of good things about those

Another vote for Klipsch s4's. I would also recommend Nixon "The wire" earbuds, they are great for the money. My review is on here in the accessories section.

I will also vouch for the S4's, though I have the S4i's because of the external microphone and volume controls. Make sure you play around with the different earpieces to get optimal fit.

The stock headphones are horrible, crap freq response, bass, treble, mids etc all suck even if your not an audiophile. A $10 pair of skull candies is night and day better lol. Even on a plane the stock headphones are worthless as their sound quality sucks and they don't seal the sound in.

As others said, in that range, Klipsch S4's are great.

Thank you for this! I'm in the market and had my eyes set on a specific replacement for my broken Apple in-ears and this is a wonderful resource.

Not a prob, was only shown it yesterday myself. Good info there too, I always thought my Skullcandy FMJs were reasonably good, got some HiFiMan RE262s in my sights now!

iBeats by Dre, are GREAT! They always sell them for $99, but stores are always offering $20-$25, with the purchase of them.

do you require mic and volume adjustments like the stock ones? If so, the S5i's are said to be good. If not, i love my Brainwavz M2's.

iBeats are terrible. Add on about $30 and get Monster Turbines- they're the best thing to ever come out of that company, and that means a lot considering they're pretty much a scam in every respect. I have the Turbines and for that price I wouldn't consider anything else besides maybe a Senheisser.

Another vote for the Klipsch Image S4s. I ended up getting a pair about a year ago and I am happy with them. I also replaced the silicone tips with foam ones from Comply.

Here's another vote for the Brainwavz M2. It's comparable to the Klipsch S4 and is of superb build quality. Sound quality is also insanely good.

Cheers!

Look on newegg and Tiger direct. A lot of the earbuds that retail for $60-$100 often go on super sale. I recently got some Sennheisers that regularly go for $100 for $25 plus a couple bucks shipping. They have sales like this all the time. Silly to pay retail on something that goes on sale all the time IMO.

And as for the people saying don't waste your money... how on earth is that helpful? The guy obviously wants something nicer than the stock Apple ones (which are far from nice... you can get a $20 pair off the shelf at Best Buy that are more comfortable, if nothing else).

These aren't bad for the price. Though these are the ones I got for about $25 last year. Only gripe is lack of braided cord.
