iBeats are terrible. Add on about $30 and get Monster Turbines- they're the best thing to ever come out of that company, and that means a lot considering they're pretty much a scam in every respect. I have the Turbines and for that price I wouldn't consider anything else besides maybe a Senheisser.

Monster is the snake oil company of the 80's-2000's. Gold plated RCA cables $49. 3' Optical cable $39. Speaker wire $1.35/Ft. Over priced, over hyped items worth 1/5th of the retail.

You're paying a lot for the name here too. They also put a TON more into marketing than does sennheiser or klipsche. Joe Blow knows what Monster is, but if not that, he at least knows what beats are. Joe Blow certainly doesn;t know sennheiser, kipsch, shure, etc.

You are wasting money on the name. Marketing low quality shiny objects = bad.

Thanks for your help guys I've decided on the klipsch image s4. Just wondering cheapest online site to buy? that can ship to Australia?

How much better are the 70$ headphones than the stock ones that ship with apple products? My music is 128kbps, any headphone would produce same music for me?

My honest opinion is that almost anything you buy, you will hear a difference. If you buy anything that has been mentioned here, you WILL hear a difference. I am not an audio snob, yet I consider it to be worth it (I listen to music on the way to class, roughly 1 hour a day, sometimes a little more). I also find the Apple earbuds to be extremely uncomfortable. Most of the noise isolating buds are as soft as ear plugs... very easy on the ears. The question is whether it's worth it to you. My fiance's sister openly admitted that the buds I spoke of were far nicer than her iPod ones, though she is just unwilling to spend extra money on them. It's a little bit like upgrades on a car. Many of them are looks, some of them are functional. Whether it's worth it or not is up to the individual buyer.

No, you will hear a hug difference. If you keep your Apple earbuds then 128 is ok. If you get a better pair, rip your music at least at 192bps.

If you don't need a mic, as mentioned before, Brainwavz M2 get my vote.

I absolutely love them.

Sub $60 also.

Best earphones for $70 is HANDS-DOWN the PK2 by Yuin. Don't get the Klipsch, and definitely don't get V-Moda. They're pretty bad, and A/Bing them against the Yuin PK2 makes it even more apparent.

Are you kidding me? The klipsch s4's are bad? Don't spew nonsense into this guys ears. You can recommend what you'd like but don't claim the klipsch product is bad because it is not.

I explained why I think they are bad. "Bad" doesn't mean anything without explaining your standard/reference, which I have done.

V-Moda are also not bad, they are very good and this is upheld by all the rave reviews they get. They are excellent quality and provide great sound.

NuForce NE-700M is best bang for buck. People on head-fi love them and those people own headphones that cost at least $200 and above.
