Hey guys

I JB'd my iPad 3 today using Absinthe (on 5.1.1) and was searching around for how to get Siri working.

Earlier today, technetech released Spite 3 which allows Siri to work on your iPad.

More details here:

Enjoy!!!!

just a heads up... it looks like you need to pay $15 bucks for 6 months of service (server)
and VIP Repo access is $5 (one time fee, i think)

But it's Siri!!

If you already have a paid/free server you can use that as well. Also, Spite is now appearing on another repo - for free...

I won't say which one, because seriously these guys deserve the $5 donation!!

Looks interesting but can not order it

I tried to order this but it says it is out of stock...I sent an email to the company to see what can be done.

:(

Has anyone looked at technetec's Twitter feed tonight? This guy is going psychotic, swearing at people left and right, calling people names, and getting questioned by the Spite developer about why he's distributing software that he has no rights to.

link?

Pretty funny stuff!!

From what I can read they were flooded with hundreds of orders, and no more 'spaces' are currently available.

The server is still OK for me.

and my ipad went into the endless boot :(
uhh did you reboot manually after the installer for Spite said "Done. Reboot" or something? or did you wait...
i waited for a couple of minutes and nothing happened, so i figured let's just reboot myself :p

and now i am restoring my iPad... sighhh

anyone?

wish i had saved the live chat i had with him earlier. He cussed the **** outta me and banned my IP apparently refunded my money but its not in my paypal either:confused:

I would have major concerns sending any data via a public proxy ( that you're paying for, a cracked app on a machine with root permissions)

What could possible go wrong here.

I saw that. The stuff he was saying to you was some of the worst.

What sort of data could they collect from this?

Think of it like a search engine. They're acting as a proxy to get to the information. Anything you asked Siri to do goes through them and could be collected.

just installed spite 3.0, on reboot, my ipad 3 is stuck at the apple logo :(

Spite 3 was almost immediately heavily pirated. S26Tech changed something on his end that caused any non-legit 3.0 to result in a boot lockup requiring a restore of the device. Then he issued 3.0.1.

I would commend this had he not been distributing chpwn's open source code for profit.

Working great on my iPad 3. Thanks!

I have Spite 3.0.1 installed and am using technetec's proxy and I have nothing. It just times out. For quite a while the status showed proxy down and no keys assigned. Now it shows one key and I get nothing when using that proxy.

Paid this service like 5 months back http://imzdl.com/siri/

I email them told them I wanted my udid from my iPhone transfer to my iPad. So they did it in just hours. Used it quite a while on my iPhone. Never had any problems.

I actually host the Cypress server for these guys. They're super professional and really quick on helping / fixing issues. And they're constantly working on the servers improving their performance and reliability.

This is their official Siri page: http://siri.imzdl.com/?page=homepage

Thank you for putting in your comment about their integrity. I went ahead and bought proxy service from them and, amazingly enough, it works, unlike Technetec's service. I never did get Technetec's proxy to work and they never responded to me on Twitter while responding to others. I still have an open support ticket with them from the original problem (no completion email from them) that they never responded to. These guys really need to get on the ball. One is 14 and the other is 23. They need to learn how to do business in the adult world.

That really sucks. What really is unfortunate is that these guys are profiting from chpwn's hard work. He released the source for Spire free a while back. These guys mod it to work with 5.1.1 and start charging for it and giving no support from what I gather.
