Awesome, thanks for sharing. Any possibility you can run some 3d benchmarks, or try some games to see in what area your FPS are? I'd be very interested in knowing how the HD4000 compares to previous generations.

How can you tell for sure? My System Info for the new Air shows a Link Speed of 6 Gigabit and a Negotiated Link Speed of 6 Gigabit. My last Air had a Link Speed of 6 Gigabit but the Negotiated Link Speed was only 3 Gigabit.
Disk Speed Test for the new Air shows a write speed of 325.6 MB/s and a read speed of 446.2 MB/s. The same test on the older Air had a write speed of 237.8 MB/s and a read speed of 258.6 MB/s.
Sounds to me like SATA3 then. I kind of assumed it from the keynote but your test speeds seem to verify it. What kind of SSD is in it. Samsung?
That's interesting. So the processor upgrade for the 13" isn't worth it (from 6915 to just 7007), but the (marginally) more expensive processor upgrade on the 11" is well worth it (from 5770 to 7004).
That's only if you're upgrading from a 2011 MBA with models you mentioned. If you're new to the MBA then it doesn't make a difference which one you get since they both perform at 7004-7007. You pick based on other features, bigger screen vs smaller screen, shorter vs longer battery, extra slot vs no extra slot, greater screen resolution vs less screen resolution, smaller footprint vs larger footprint, less weight vs more weight, etc.

Upgrade - 11-inch Mid 2012 - Intel Core i7-3667U 2.0 GHz (2 cores) - 7004
Standard - 13-inch Mid 2012 - Intel Core i5-3427U 1.8 GHz (2 cores) - 6915
Upgrade - 13-inch Mid 2012 - Intel Core i7-3667U 2.0 GHz (2 cores) - 7007
With the 11" Air that's quite a jump, especially compared to the minimal gain with the 13" upgrade.
Impressive benchmarks from the new 13" Air. The new i5 scores higher than the Sandybridge i7 from the late 2011 13" MBP! 6915 vs 6047
I think that makes my mind up to go for the new 13" Air instead of the Pro. With that much power and then the extra portability its a winner
Can someone explain the huge discrepancy between the i5s in the 11 and the 13? It appears that they have the same cache and bus speeds so is can that big gain really just be the clock speed? I really want an 11" but that performance difference may push me to the 13.
