Late June typically marks the time of year in which Apple retail store openings begin to ramp up, and this year appears to be no exception with three grand openings scheduled for this Saturday, June 30. The group of three is Apple's largest batch of openings since seven stores opened in one weekend last September. This week's openings include:

- Ridge Hill (Yonkers, New York): The new Ridge Hill store is located just outside of New York City in Westchester County and is Apple's 17th retail store in the state of New York, breaking a tie with Florida for the third most-popular state for Apple retail stores behind California and Texas.

- CoolSprings Galleria (Franklin, Tennessee): Apple's CoolSprings Galleria store in Franklin is roughly 15 miles south of downtown Nashville and about the same distance in driving miles from the existing Green Hills store. The new store will be Apple's fourth in Tennessee.

- Broadway (Sydney, Australia): The new Broadway store will be Apple's 14th in Australia, with half of those located in the Sydney area. Australia is Apple's fourth most-popular country for retail store construction behind the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.

All three stores will open to the public at 10:00 AM local time on Saturday.

We need more Apple stores in good old Yorkshire. York needs a flagship one at the very least. we cant managed with just a Stormfront. The Sheffield Meadowhall is my nearest, but its hardly a flagship store, just a typical small Apple Store.

So many awesome old buildings Apple could use round York.

Nice!

Now there are two in Nashville. The one at Green Hills is always super busy, so hopefully this will lighten the traffic a bit. :)

Jacksonville FL needs a second store

The one Jacksonville FL store is in a weird scary newly build "town center" mall way outside the city, and it is always packed. Need a second one more central (downtown/Springfield)

Apple has a formula on where they open stores based on numerous factors, not to mention location data for tens of millions of phones. They know where their customers live and work. :)

You guys are lucky to have apple stores near you. Here in South Africa we have to deal through a 3rd party which is beyond pathetic.

I am planning on going to the opening of one of these stores. Does Apple typically do anything notable on the first day and what time should I arrive?

I'm surprised that Apple hasn't built a store on the Space Coast in Florida. (Brevard County Florida) The nearest Apple Store is in Orlando, over an hour away, where they're actually two Apple stores near each other!

Nasa, DoD, (schools like FIT and BCC), and some larger industries like Harris Corporation are here. Why no Apple Store?

Years ago, Apple said something like 85% of all Americans will be within 15 minutes of an Apple Store, that would have meant an Apple Store here around 2005, but still no store!

The Yonkers store should clean up....Plenty of folks don't want to drive into the city, a large catchment area there...Apple have done their homework well.

I actually live really close to ridgehill it is a beautiful outdoor mall. I started going when they opened up the new movies and then the restaurants, great beer selection at yard house. I remember mentioning to my girlfriend it would be awesome if they opened up a apple store here. and funny enough a few weeks back we were walking around and i saw the apple logo on the black privacy walls! I felt like a little kid on Christmas!

And the location is great yes. I would have to go into the city or stop at the white plains store on the way back from work when I needed to go

----------

what do they normally give besides t-shirts if your first in..??

It's a total disgrace that the capital of the European Union, Brussels, doesn't have an Apple store. To make it worse, Belgian companies have no clue about customer satisfaction and service, so the POS experience is appalling.

ridge hill is really nice, really like it there, taking my girlfriend there soon and actually going there today to check out the new apple store and going to check out some other stores and go to stew leonards lol, live about 20 minutes from there

OMG APPLE!!!

When? When will you open at least one store in the Republic of Ireland?

Your base of operations for the whole of Europe is located in Cork yet you don't have one store here.:(

Yet you have one in Belfast NI which has a fraction of the population of Ireland.

there are resellers in Yorkshire which are fine. I actually applied to work at a KRCS a couple of years back.

York has a Stormfront reseller it looks pretty similar to a real Apple Store. Its Just that I think York ought to have an actual Apple flagship store.

Its always flooded with tourists from around the world its crazy. I can't see why Apple wouldn't build one.
