Hi i have been waiting patiently for the 13inch rmbp. I tink 15 inch to me is a little bit bulky and heavy so 13 inch would b just fine...so anyone is waiting for the 13 inch

No.

I really don't know what else to add because you simply asked a direct question.

The 13" non retina weighs 4.5 pounds while the 15" non retina weighs 5.6 pounds. Not much of a difference there. I would assume that the retina models wouldn't be too much different in their own weight comparison either.

I'll stick with my 15" and the extra screen real estate.

There's more to the form factor than just weight. I wish you guys sitting next to me on a plane with these 15" behemoths would just fly first class.

Que the "anti-13-inchers"

I have nothing against the 13" models. It's all a matter of personal choice. However, I believe one of the OP issues was weight, which is what I addressed.

Que the "anti 15"........

I'm waiting on a 13". I don't like the underpowered MBA13, and the MBP13 is horrid value for money (in my view).

The 15" RMBP weighs less than the 13" legacy MBP. Also, I honestly don't see them making a 13" RMBP with current technology without sacrificing something, whether it be battery life or dedicated graphics. There was barely enough space in the 15" after soldering practically all the parts in.

And if they do make a 13" RMBP, I would only expect a minimal price drop - think $400 MAX (probably like $200 or so). The technology as I said above would have to remain as close to the 15" spec's as possible (while sacrificing something).

Maybe if some future Intel chip reduces heat/battery usage enough, but until then...

I was ready to buy immediately if they would have announced a 13" MBP with retina (or at least 1080p), and kept the user-replaceable hRd drive and RAM.

Given the current offering, i am keeping my 17" and will be looking at windows laptops for my next one.

Some day it will all be retina.

How long are you going to wait for someday?

May something new in 2013.

No.

Nothing wrong with a direct question... It's more appropriate to be put as a comment, but more quickly replied to as a thread, despite being frowned upon.

Furthermore, there was no point in you commenting as the topic does not involve you. The question clearly is asked for those that would say yes.

I think a 13-inch retina MacBook Pro will be out by October.

The question I'm wondering is will the screen be 2880x1800 or will be it 2560x1600?

Same here. If it doesn't get mentioned in the rumored Oct 17 event, I'll stop waiting and will go with a spec'd out 13" MBA. In that case I'll consider a 13" rMBP after the Haswell chipset makes it to the lineup.

considering I think the gt650 is just enough for the screen, I don't think the 640 or w/e they're putting in the 13 rmbp will be enough for retina levels and even price wise it can't be too much cheaper, but who knows maybe i'll be surprised.

I'm in the same boat. Spec'd out MBA or base 13 rMBP.....hoping for the rMBP though.

Exactly just enough not considering of course that you can at least add two extra high resolution displays to your rMBP and it would still run smoothly. Furthermore completely neglecting the fact that the rMBP runs absolutely fine on the integrated gpu as well - the same you would fine in the theoretical 13' rMBP.
