I was just wondering if anyone upgraded from the M1 13in Air to the M2 15in Air and find the extra screen real-estate to help their productivity?

Get an external monitor if you want to be more productive.

The 15" MacBook Air defeats the purpose of the "Air" in my opinion. It looks more like the 15" Intel MacBook Pro but without the speaker grills.

I think it’s for people who can’t afford the 14/16 Pro, but who want a bigger screen.

I'm a long-time fan and user of the 13” MBAs, with the tapered wedge shape.

My first encounter with the 15” Air was positive. It felt like an Air; lighter in sensation than the 14” MBP, which felt dense.

Coming from a 2015 13” MBA, which weighs about the same as the new 15”, handling the M2 MBA reinforced my feeling and belief that the Air moniker is an appropriate one!

I anticipate it improving productivity in the sense of providing easier or one-click access to other windows and apps, more desktop space to drag and drop text and see other windows, more rows and columns in spreadsheets, more lines of a document in a word processing document, etc.

But that’s all hypothetical. Looking forward to hearing reports from those who have already made the transition.
