I've had my 13in MBP for a month now and for the past few days on startup it makes the ugliest machine noise...imagine a retarded robot having an orgasm.
I have no idea what could be causing it; admittedly i've been using smcfancontrol since day one, varying speeds between 2,000rpm to 5200rpm accordingly.
What can I do to fix this problem or at the very least discover whats going on? With my old white macbook I used to open her up and dig in and find the problem myself, though with the new mbp i'm a bit unsure since i've never opened her aside from upgrading the hard drive.
