iPhone 13 Pro Max 13pro max text messages

First, thanks about the 11pro rebuilt problems. Went with the 13 pro max (new).
I’ve ironed most the quirks except printing and reading the new text messages. I have it announce the phone numbers but cannot seem to have the text messages read out for my blue tooth hearing aids. A friend with a 9 can get his to work however he can get mine to work. Regards,
