14.2 Beta Question

Hey guys, not solely for the the 14.2 beta but in general for betas. So if I update my tvOS to the 14.2 beta and if it’s unusable, are you able to roll back the update? Or are you stuck on that update until a non beta update comes out? Also, anyone have feedback on 14.2? Thanks!

you're stuck

on the aTV HD, you can restore from your computer using a USB cable.
But not on the 4K

and if you're on the 14.2 beta, you're stuck on till the next higher version comes out. So 14.2 release won't replace 14.2 beta. You're stuck on the beta till a higher number like 14.2.1 or 14.3 comes out.

Not entirely true, if the OP updates to the 14.2 GM, that is the general release version, but you’re right that you cannot roll back, he will have to wait until the public release

Understood, thank you both for the replies. At the moment I haven’t updated, I’m also running the ATV 4K.

research before you do the upgrade though

I thought 14.2 might fix problems I had with .0, but it didn't
and the first pubic beta had completely broken atmos, which apparently was known before I upgraded.

the second public of 14.2 seems better (and it fixed atmos), although not sure if I've gained anything over the latest release version
