So I updated my HomePod and Apple TV 4k to 14.2 and setup the HomePod to be the default audio for the Apple TV. Everything seemed to work okay, however, now when I ask Siri to play anything from Apple Music directly from the Homepod I get "Sorry there was a problem with Apple Music"

I resat my Homepod this-morning with no success, turns out setting the Apple TV back to the TV Speakers as default fixes it. Hoping for a bug fix soon, this seems counterproductive. We can use HomePod as speakers for a home theater setup, but doing so causes it to loose other basic functionality?

I have the same issue. Tried resetting and repairing my HomePod but no luck. I'm probably gonna use my own TV speakers instead of the HomePod for now until Apple fixes it.

Interesting. I reset both pairs today and it seems to have fixed the living room pair. The bedroom pair would also tell me there was a problem with Apple Music and then it started stalling anytime I asked for a specific song. I ended up switching off recognize my voice feature and the bedroom pair work fine how. Apparently, this has been a known issue for quite some time.

We’re you able to get both working ever?
