I've had the clear case on the 12PM and 13PM. It's always been exposed at the bottom, the case material is harder and isn't as flexible as the silicone ones, so one of the edges needs to be "open" to allow it to flex enough to pop on and off of the phone. If it was complete all the way around, then the risk of breaking/cracking would seem pretty high.

Also, for the 12 months at a time I've used the current model phone with the clear case, it's never yellowed which is a plus, but admittedly at times it can feel slippery. I'll likely not go with another clear case this year.

I've had older iPhones with cases that exposed the bottom and I manage the drop them on that spot and crack the screen. I vowed never to buy another.

Here's my 13PM I've had with the same case on since day one. The bottom sort of wraps around the corners still providing some protection. I've dropped my phone several times and it's landed on the corners damaging the case and glass screen protector, but the phone itself is still pretty pristine.

Apple has really struggled with colors for devices and accessories for years now IMO. Starlight and Midnight in favor of classic silver and black is.....a choice. 🙄

Why on earth is there no black silicone case option for the pro? And even more weirdly, WHY is there a midnight option for the space black phone? It clashes and looks terrible, yet it's the only 'black' option.
