For fun today I plugged my new 14" M3pro MBP in to my Ecoflow River Pro battery on the USB-C 100w port. Surprisingly, I noticed it was only charging at 62 watts according to the Ecoflow display. I thought these could charge at 96watts with the 96w power brick? Not that I need it to charge that fast but it makes me wonder why they offer the 96w brick for these as an option if it's only going to pull a max of 62 watts? Am I missing something? Battery was at 22% so it wasn't too full to take max wattage.

While your MacBook draws 62W on its own, if you are using the USB-C ports on your Mac to charge other things (such as an iPhone, iPad, Watch or your AirPods); the additional headroom would allow your brick to send juice to the devices that might be actively connected to your MacBook.
Since you already have a gadget to experiment with that, simply connect an iPhone or an iPad (that needs to be charged) to your Mac and see what the output shows.

That makes sense. I was under the impression the battery itself would charge at 96w with a bigger power adapter. Good to know.
