Both have all the same settings and the 15 PM display is a little more yellow.

Does that wear off? A little concerned.

Thanks

iPhone screens tend to have different levels of yellow screens depending on manifacture. it won’t change over time. If you are unhappy with it, you can exchange it.

This actually isn’t historically accurate.

Many early recipients of prior generation iPhones have noticed yellow tints that _do_ decrease over time as substances cure etc.

Iirc, in prior generations, the thought was the earliest iPhones had the shortest time between manufacturing line and customer hands, whereas phones purchased later often had more time for the curing to occur between manufacture and use

That being said, no idea if it could explain warmer color balance of your phone or if there are other explanations (different calibrations etc).

Generation after generation, Apple phones have scored very high in display tests in terms of factory calibration and color. Let’s see if this continues!

Turning true tone off fixes the issue. Just wondering what negative comes with turning it off...?

Like I said, nothing. True tone just makes the screen more amicable for your eyes, doesn’t strain them as much as with true tone off.

No yellow tint on mine, same temp as my 14PM. True Tone can reveal other screen issues.

I order two phones at launch just in case one has issues, if the 1st one is good I just cancel the store pickup for the 2nd. True Tone on my 1st 15PM revealed noticeable orange / red tint along the right side of the screen. 2nd one has no issues.

Picked up a 15 PM today to check it out and it was noticeably more yellow/green than my 14 PM. Compared it to my MBP display (which should be factory calibrated for accuracy) and decided to return the 15 PM because it was too different.

It seems that the PRO model has a whiter screen than the Pro MAX.

Has anyone been able to buy it in person to verify it?

No lo he hecho, ¿es esto cierto? Con el tono verdadero activado para mí, tengo un tono rosa / amarillo
The iPhone that they had on display in the 2 Apple stores in Barcelona could be clearly seen.
Obviously first check that true tone and night mode were disabled on both devices.

So you're saying to disable true tone?

I checked in two different stores.

Disable true tone on both devices to make comparisons.

And as I say, the iPhone 15 Pro Max had a more muted tone.

That's why I want someone to confirm it in case it is something common or if it was pure coincidence.

My 15 Pro Max has the same white point as my 14 Pro Max when True Tone is disabled on both devices.

However, with True Tone enabled, the 15 Pro Max is fluctuating a lot and pushing yellow way more. It’s noticeably going up and down all the time.

This is the same behaviour I recall whenever I switch to a new phone, so I assume it settles down with software updates or calibrates over time
