iPhone SE (2016) 14 vs 2016 SE camera

I'm still using the 1st gen SE, and need a better camera. Is the 14 any better? They both are 12 MP so I'm confused...
I need it for shooting artwork.

The SE 2016 has a horrific camera. I didn’t realise how bad it was until I used that phone for 9 months in 2022.

Megapixels mean absolutely nothing.

You’ll find the 14’s shooter to be magnitudes better than your SE’s.

The quality and sensitivity of those pixels matters. It's like comparing a FHD monitor with a TN, VA, IPS, and OLED panel. You'll get vastly different quality depending on the type of panel and backlight.

My daughters first phone was a SE1.Horrible pics when comparing to my newer Pro iPhones.
