1440p HiDPI Suddenly Available on MacBook Pro 13" M1

Hello,

Not sure if anyone else has a similar blessing - I checked today and noticed HiDPI options were available for my 1440p Display today, with 144Hz as well! My monitor is an Acer XF270HUA. This is potentially great news, as this is the reason many people use BetterDummy. I'm on a MacBook Pro 13" M1 2020.

I've just checked and I have 720 HiDPI option on my Dell ultra-wide (3440x1440) monitor with my M1 Air. 720 looks awful though. I don't have this option with my Intel MacBook Pro i7 on the same monitor.

No 1440p HiDPi either with the M1 and OSX 12.5.1

I have 1920x1080@144 Hz option on my BenQ EX2870Q (2560x1440) connected my M1 MacBook Pro (macOS 12.5.1). There is also an option for 1920x1080 (HiDPI) but that allows only for max 60Hz or variable (40-60Hz). 1280x720@144 Hz is also available. As far as I remember 1280x720@144 Hz was available before but 1920x10180 (HiDPI) seems new and more useful than 1280x720. Unfortunately, this resolution is limited to 60Hz.

I checked macOS Ventura Beta 6 today. And now it offers several HiDPI resolutions for my QuadHD monitor.
Including 1280x720 HiDPI (which exactly equals to 2560 x1440). I'm very happy now.
Mac mini M1 with Dell QuadHD monitor 24"

I'm on Monterey 12.5.1 and I also see the option for 1280x720 HIDPI but I found that it's makes applications way too big and some don't fit on the screen.

Can anyone confirm if the actual text quality has improved on 1440p monitors in Ventura?

I've seen some comments on reddit and other forums that claim, 1440p monitors (running unscaled at native resolution) in Ventura have a smoother font that's less pixelated and blurry compared to Monterey.

Do you know how to configure it? I'm asking because when when I create a dummy display based on my external display (same resolution) and I mirror my actual external display with the dummy display the OS text becomes blurry.

Can't figure it out how to solve this!
