Above.
I have figured out the cheapest option for me to get a new phone is to, either go to AT&T or sprint for an iPhone, and cancel my contract on Verizon. It would be 850$ for me to get a new 64gb iPhone 5 on my Verizon. But only 600$ the other way.
Seem like a good idea?
My iPhone 4S stopped working so I do need a new one.

Bring your 4S to the Apple Store and they'll replace it for $200.

If its for a 16gb then no it's not going to work. 16gb is a joke. I have filled up my 64 multiple times.

It should be $200 for the same model you are exchanging, so you'll get a 64GB one. Call up your local Apple store to confirm.

If your credit card has the free 1 year extended warranty, you can get the cost of replacement/repair refunded. Look into it before shelling out cash.

He's not u and 16g is the top selling model. And I know a TON of people with 16's that have hundreds of songs and pics, 30-40 apps, and still have 6 or 7 gig. Personally, 32 works perfectly for me.

They must have poor quality songs and simple apps if thats the case. I have 30 apps and 800 songs, the thing is full.

Actually, the cheapest way to go is to purchase the unsubsidized phone through the apple reservation system online (10pm - 4am daily) and then go into the store to pick it up and tell them you want to pay the full unsubsidized price for the phone. I believe a iPhone 5 64gb model will cost $849 + tax. Then basically use the ATT unlock request online submission form to ask for iPhone 5 unlock. Basically within 2 hours they will send you an email requesting a copy of the original receipt and the phone's IMEI#. Within a couple of hours after that they will approve your iPhone 5 unlock and provide you steps to unlock it (very easy just connect to itunes and restore the phone to factory settings).

Then for true cost savings go to a cheap no contract carrier like H2O wireless or metro PCS. I already calculated I would be saving about $400/year on average by dropping the big three (ATT/Sprint/Verizon).

I already did this and I have an iPhone 5 16GB White (Unlocked)

Well you must have a faulty device because u should have a ton of space left. You could store about 3500 songs on 16gig.

^^ this. I've got over 4000 songs @ around 20 gig on my iPhone - all ripped through iTunes.
