what size ipad mini are you ordering

i'm torn: i got the 64 gb iphone and it's only 1/2 full! i won't put music on my ipad... probably not even movies... mostly just apps and photos!
i'm leaning toward the 16GB mini cuz i know i'll want to get the retina version if/when they come out with one next year!

Me, I'm going for the 32GB (WiFi only), not sure about color quite yet (tick TOCK on that, eh?)
Why 32GB? Usually I follow "go big or go home" on storage, but I am also upgrading from my iPad original to a 4 and wanting to do it this fall, although not in the pre-order period. For the larger device, I'll spring for the 64GB. I just can't go big on both this fall.
So, my pick for the iPad mini storage size is about a budget constraint, tempered by the knowledge that I lived in 32GB with the iPhone 3GS and it worked out OK (although I went to 64 on the iPHone 4S).
I want this mini tablet size for ease of reading books. I expect also to refresh some selections of "new to me" music on it, and maintain a fairly stable collection of certain music plus revolving picks of old favorite movies and TV shows. Not many apps short of a few utilities and mail. Not spreadsheets and databases and other space taker-uppers like my magazine and newspaper archives, that stuff can stay on the larger iPad and laptop.

Already have a 9.7" iPad 64gb, will be picking up at 16gb mini 4G to use as my reading/browsing device on public transport.
I already have an ipad 3rd gen 16gb and an iphone 5 16gb so its gonna be 16gb again. I change every year no point to go bigger.

Same here. I had a 64GB iPad 3 that I never filled and I sold a while ago to go back to the iPad 2 16GB which always runs out of space. I definitely will want the Retina version so Im thinking 32GB because it feels the most balanced and should resell good enough.
Black 16GB. Just (about an hour ago) sold my iPad 1st gen 16gb for $240, and then bought a $150 apple gift card for $110. My total out of pocket expense is 50 bucks.

I will probably get the largest capacity as I aim to get the most I can when I re-sell it (to upgrade when their upgrade the mini again).
You will lose at least 10% to 20% on the extra capacity you pay when you resell and not the full amount.
Say you paid $100 + tax from 16GB to 32GB, when you resell you will recoup maybe $80 (you lose $20 + tax you paid).
pointless unless you will use the capacity.

That's what I love about Apple stuff. Really holds its value. I had it on Craigs for less than a day and didn't get any lower offers, just an "I'll take it".

if someone paid $499 + tax, now selling for $300, they lost $199 + tax, wait another 2 years and sell for $240... wow that's only $30/year for the lucky buyer lol...
Better yet, once people realize iPad 4 isn't that much of a deal for the majority of the users, iPad 3 and iPad 4 2nd price will converge... and people who bought for $300 can probably resell for $350 or more.
I realised if I synthysis the music that I like to listen to often, it reduces my songs down to about 30-50
so with 32gb there is plenty room for videos and apps - applications are getting big now some over 1 GB

If you want to enjoy all the incredible content available for iPad Mini you really have no option but to buy the 64GB model.

pre-ordered a 16gb black. Once I load it up how I'll use it, if I don't think there's enough space it's going back for a 64gb one.
Don't you show me your logic!
I just think it will be easier to sell because usually people tend to look for the best when buying used... wether it's correct or not, that's my underlying psychology.
