I bought this at Walmart.com and it arrived today, but when I connect it to my iPad Pro 11” (1st gen) I get an “Accessory Not Supported” message. The box says it’s compatible with the 1st gen and I have an Apple Smart Folio Keyboard which uses the same 3 pin connector and works fine.

Is the Smart Keyboard just defective? If so can I get Apple to swap it out as Walmart wants me to mail it back to them with a 2 to 3 week turn around. I’d just return it and buy another, but it appears to be out of stock.

Good call. Picked one up at Target which worked normally (plus 5% off for Red Card) and returned the defective one to Walmart.

Will say I knew it would be heavy based on reviews but wasn’t prepared for how it heavy it was 🏋️‍♂️ until I actually held it, tho I know the reasoning for it and it’s perfectly justified.
