Does anyone else encounter the same issue as me, where other apps can’t access the camera? I’ve tried using Meet and Edge, but I don’t have any place or option to grant them access to the camera.

Nothing ever gets access to my camera, there is even a tape over it.

But I tried it just for you and it seems to work at least for this Hand Mirror app.

Does it work at least for internal apps like FaceTime, what don't need to be allowed?

Thanks but i don't even have all those apps in the camera menu. But yeah Safari seems working. The newly installed apps like meets and edge don’t work

The apps should appear there when they ask for camera access for the first time. If they already did I don't know what could be the problem.

Maybe they need Accessibility too.

they didnt event ask for that!

Did you try to use the camera in those apps? Not all apps ask for that just by launching them.

I would add them to Accessibility and try again. If you already tried to use the camera.

Reinstalling the apps could also help. Especially if it has a real installer like Edge. Don't know about Meet.

Yes I did. They just went dark. The little light by the camera didn’t light up

I just installed Edge. Do you know a website without login what might ask for camera access? Then I could try if it works for me.

I logged in to Meet with my "YouTube" account in Edge and it asked for camera access. Didn't find a Meet app for Mac only for iOS. There is an unofficial one in the AppStore. Are you using that one?

So it seems to work.

Do you know if it has anything to do with me turning off the sip? I turned it off to have the ai on my Chinese Mac

I also have SIP turned off.

Sorry it’s the Microsoft teams app

The main Teams website is somehow not working. Only the login site. But I am sure it's working too here if Edge does. The problem must be anything else than just the beta.

Did you try to reinstall the apps?

What kind of Mac are you even using?

Could be you have a completely different Mac than me and I hope the next update will fix this for you. A re-install might too, but there is no installer or recovery for 15.1 to just install over it again.

Maybe some maintenance/cleaning software might help. Onyx is free.
